Listening Loop Technologies

Listening Loop Technologies, a division of Fauquier Hearing Services, now provides induction loops. An induction loop system transmits the signal from your TV or "looped" sound system directly to your hearing aid via the telecoil in your instrument. The system is easily installed in homes and is available for commercial venues as well. A simple push of a button on your hearing aid gives you immediate direct access to the sound as though a speaker is sitting on your shoulder. There is no easier way to get crystal clear sound, customized to your hearing needs. Loop systems are available in chair pad or as a hard wired system.

More than a dozen of our patients enjoy their TV or sound system through their residential loop system and are delighted with the clear sound customized to their needs. And their companions are enjoying the TV at a reasonable volume!

To introduce this technology to our local community, Fauquier Hearing Services donated a commercial loop and installation to Fauquier Community Theater. The plan for the donation began when one of our patients decided to stop frequenting the theater programs due to inability to hear and enjoy the theatrical production. Dr. Markva knew there was a simple solution that would allow her patients and many others with hearing loss to enjoy the theater again or for the first time. That solution was an induction loop system.

Dr. Markva was aware that "looping" was popular in other countries and other areas of the United States and created Listening Loop Technologies as a division of Fauquier Hearing Services to bring this technology to our region. We are currently designing systems for several local churches, 2 local theaters, local government meeting rooms, and retirement community meeting rooms.
